Forgetful!

Just wanted to say that I am a very forgetful person and left my camera in MN when we went to visit Mark and Sarah right after Christmas. Therefore this is the reason for no recent posts. I am awaiting my camera to arrive in the mail and as soon as it does I will post pictures of our first Christmas as parents! We wish everyone a safe and happy new year!!

Breakfast with Santa

My mom took myself, my sister, Lilyana, and Ellyson to Breakfast with Santa at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee Sat morning. Lilyana was not thrilled about sitting on Santa's lap but she didn't cry! We even got a little smile with the help of some elves jumping behind me as I took the picture. And for being such a good girl she got a little stuffed animal from Santa! The kids also had a lot of fun staring out the window in awe of the city and streets below them. We hope this will turn into a yearly tradition because it was such a great time!

Lilyana and Miles

We got to spend some time together with our friends Chad and Melina last weekend and their little boy Miles. The kids are 3 months apart and it is so fun to watch how much they each have changed when they get together. They loved trying to grab each other and they even held hands for a picture! So cute.

Grafton Christmas Parade

It was a perfect day out for Lilyana to enjoy her first Christmas Parade, the sun was shining and it actually felt a little warm out with all the layers we had on. After the parade we headed over to Grandma Pegs for the second Thanksgiving dinner, Lilyana loves to rock on the little rocking horse!

Yet Another Milestone...

Today we took apart Lilyana's activity center and turned it into the next step, which is a walk behind to help her learn how to walk. It was so fun watching her play with her new toy but also so sad taking apart the toy because it is another sign that she is getting older and not a little baby anymore. I haven't been able to officially put any of her toys or clothes away because I still have to look at them all the time to remind me of how much she grew. We have all the toys stored in a spare bedroom where I feel they might just remain until we need to use them again!

Peek-A-Boo!

Lilyana just learned how to play peek-a-boo! She just cracks us up everytime she "hides"!

9 months old!

Lilyana will be 9 months old on the 21st! She is such a big girl, we just can't believe that she is this old already! It seems like only yesterday that she born. We also discovered that she is little miss independent already, just last week she learned how to throw little temper tantrums! We found this out when she was trying to go after a cat and we took her away from the cat which led to throwing herself on the floor and crying! We just had to laugh because we had no idea children learned how to do such things at such a young age!

Door County 2008
