My First Triathlon

My first triathlon, Cedarburg, 1/4 mile swim, 10.5 mile bike ride, 5k run. I finished 1:23:07 and I am satisfied with that. I finished 6th place out of 21 women in my age group. I will for sure be doing it again next year and can't wait to see if I can beat my personal best. I wouldn't have been able to do it without my friend Sarah by my side!

Trip to Build a Bear!

As many of you may have known we have (or had) a huge problem with bottles at our home. Both kids were so addicted to them! It was getting out of hand. We tried every trick out there to get rid of them, nothing was working!! Then on the way to one of Gavyn's Dr appts I told LIlyana I was going to tell the Dr about her bottles (as she was sucking on one in the back seat!) She got so scared and kept asking me not to say anything, it was a reaction I have never gotten from her before. Throughout the appt she would look at me and whisper, please don't tell her! So the mean Mom that I am goes and tells the DR the embarrassing truth that both of my children both have bottles still. When she heard this news I thought she was going to pass out. She looked at Lilyana and told her straight out, "You are too old for bottles and need to go home and throw out all your bottle" (same thing we have said to her over and over and over again). Well Lilyana started to tear up and I just felt so bad for telling on my little girl then making her cry! Well we get in the car and she hands me hear bottle and tells me she needs to throw her bottle out as she is done with bottles. And just like that, we go home and threw out all the bottles. Gavyn for some reason didn't care either when before he as completely refusing sippy cups! We didn't have any meltdowns, nothing! So we asked Lilyana what she wanted for being such a good girl, her response, "A puppy, and a REAL one, not a fake one!" Well we are NOT ready for a puppy and she had to settle for a fake puppy named Arito Star. What a great day this was for all of us!!

4th of July Parade- Cedarburg

Great parade as always. We love spending the 4th with good friends for all day fun at the parade and after at the park! It was HOT! The kids kept cool with spraying each other with water bottles. Poop Circle contest was another huge turnout but no won. We can't wait until next year!!

4th of July Fireworks!

The kids were so good for the fireworks. We had 5 children 5 and younger watching and no kids cried! It was great. Gavyn didn't cry but I don't think he watched either, he seemed to be in some sort of trance. The kids were great troopers for staying up so late!

Regner Park!

Great day at Regner Park and the kids were so exhausted by the end of the day!

Milwaukee County Zoo!

Train Set

We found this awesome train table with all the parts for $20 at a rummage sale! Too bad it only looked this nicely set up for about 3 minutes then was destroyed and to this day never put back together! :)
