Trying Birthday Cake Again

Lilyana was not too interested in her cake on her birthday so we attempted to try again the following day. She was still only sticking one finger in the cake and licking the frosting! It was too cute! She didn't want to make a mess at all. Maybe by her next birthday she will be more interested in her cake!

Happy 1st Birthday Lilyana!!

We celebrated an absolute perfect 1st birthday on Saturday Feb 21st. We had a party for Lilyana at Generations during the day which included Lilyana painting for the first time(and also trying to eat paint for the first time), decorating cupcakes and drinking smoothies. Afterwards family and friends came to the home for dinner and presents. The day was perfect. Lilyana had so much fun! It was a very emotional day as well, on one end we were so amazed that our little girl has been with us for an entire year that seemed to fly by and on the other end we were so sad that it has been a whole year already and now our little baby girl has grown into a toddler. You never realize when people say "Cherish every moment they grow up fast" what they really mean until you experience it and my gosh do they ever grow up fast! This has been the best year of our life. We are so excited to watch Lilyana change more and more everyday! Happy Birthday Little Princess! We love you!

Saturday Night Fire

Saturday was spent outside in the awesome 50 degrees weather. We went to the Winter Festival in Cedarburg, watched a parade and the ice carvers attempt to carve their ice sculptures before they melted away. Even though we had such a warm day we still came home and made a fire at night. Lilyana loves to watch the fires, she is so amazed by the flames jumping around. She is growing up so fast. She attempts to walk everywhere now but only makes it a few steps then crawls the rest of the way!
