My First Half Marathon

I ran my first half marathon this April. Hardest thing I have ever trained for! I have enjoyed doing 5K's, 8K's, stair climbs in Milwaukee and Chicago, and a triathlon. I was looking for a new challenge. My friend Jill has been running also and found out about the South Shore Half Marathon in Milwaukee. This race is put on by the Badgerland Striders the beautiful Oak Leaf Trail along Lake Michigan. Nothing better then running next to the lake and taking in the views. My sister and brother in law joined in also to complete their first half marathons. It is really inspiring having friends and family to run with.

Happy Easter!!

After church we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's to celebrate Easter. The kids enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt with help from the older cousins Brady and Bryce. The children all looked so adorable in their Easter outfits! We headed over to Grandma Peg's for another Easter Egg hunt later, the kids were quite exhausted! It was a beautiful day to spend with family! Happy Easter!!

Easter Morning!

Lilyana "helped" Gavyn find his baskets Easter Morning. She was very good at finding them, or the Easter Bunny just doesn't do a great job hiding them. ;) Mike put up a little stink about the kids having more then one Easter basket but in the Easter Bunny's defense those baskets are just not big enough to hold anything! So each kid got a one basket of treats and one with toys, books, chalk, etc. I think it was smart of the bunny to do that! Happy Easter!! He has risen!

Coloring Easter Eggs!

This year we tried out the "spin an Egg". I would totally recommend this! It was only $5.00 and was so cleaner to use with kids! And they so much fun spinning the eggs!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Grafton

Lilyana had a great time running into the softball diamond, where Daddy plays softball in the summer, to collect Easter eggs! Gavyn wasn't having it. It was his nap time so he didn't leave our arms the entire time. :( There is always next year! And I apologize, not too many actual pictures of the hunt as my camera dies right when we started!

Happy 2nd Birthday Gavyn!!

Our little boy turned 2 on March 24th! We celebrated with cake and presents. Grandma and Grandpa came over to help with the celebration and eating the cake. :) I learned from this birthday that you cannot put ice cream cake away in the refrigerator. I went into the fridge the next day to enjoy another awesome piece of cake only to find a big puddle of ice cream. :( We got Gavyn his first drum set for his birthday which I am learning was a huge mistake! Drums are so loud! But the kids are having a blast playing with them! We cannot believe how fast time flies, Happy 2nd Birthday Baby Gavyn!

A work in Progress

It's hard to tell but this is the start of the new walk-in closet!

And the wall is down to make one room!

The kids have been loving every minute of the project and are very eager to help out with anything!
